I Have a Stalker

Our Lady of Perpetual Help is following me around.

Back in 2006, I got this mysterious stomach problem which has since become so infamous. Of course you all know the story. My doctor said it was just an infection, but it wasn't going away. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to enter the convent on time, so I prayed a novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Voila! The pain disappeared the day after I finished it.

Later on, when I was sick again, I prayed to her. This time, she didn't make me better. When the time came for me to be dismissed from the convent, I went into the room where it was to happen, and whatdyaknow, OLPH was there on the wall.

Last weekend, I stayed overnight at the Little Sisters, and she was there in the guest room, where I slept. I didn't pay too much attention to that.

But yesterday I was with the Little Sisters again, doing a little volunteering. It was time for Vespers, and as I walked to the back of the chapel there was Our Lady. I almost said: Oh, its you! Out loud. Maybe the Sisters would have considered me a nutter butter.

When I was in Rome I had a chance to see the original icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. It has a neat-o history.

Our Lady is a wonderful stalker.

St. Anthony did that to me.

OLPH was over the ironing board when I visited my future monastery, and my roommate has one too.
